Sports Premium

Primary PE and Sport Premium
Since September 2013, primary schools in England have received the Primary PE and Sport Premium from the Government which provides all schools with primary aged pupils with £8,000 plus £5 per pupil (Year 1 to 6) per year.

The purpose of this funding is to improve the quality of PE and Sport for all children in the school.

As a Federation we have planned the expenditure of this funding jointly, allowing us to facilitate competitive opportunities for both schools and benefit from joint professional development of staff. The current plan for how we spending this funding can be downloaded by clicking the picture below for each school.

Last academic year we used the funding to provide a wider range of opportunities to our children, such as the Chance to Shine cricket coaches, a basketball coach and tournaments organised through the Westbourne Sports Partnership. Teaching staff also have expert training in gymnastics and cricket.

We have great plans on how we will continue to use this funding including visiting the specialist gymnasium at Pipers Vale and using a minibus loaned to us by Bramford Scouts, so that we can go to more competitions and transport pupils between our 2 schools to compete or collaborate together.
