Accelerated Reader at Home for Students and Online Library

posted 27 Apr 2020, 04:05 by sarah keeble
Our schools subscribe to Renaissance, which provides the Accelerated reader scheme that many of our children use at school. During this time of school closures, Renaissance has made some of their resources available for free at home:

MyOn reading library
Any child can use this digital library of thousands of books, without the need to log in.

Go to:
KID ZONE on this website
Click on MyOn Reading Library
Start reading
Browse by category. Click on the icon underneath the word ‘browse’ to filter for fiction or non- fiction.  Choose a book. If you would like to know more about it before choosing it, click on ‘info’. You will see a recommended age group. Then click on the ‘i’ and find the ATOS number (this is the
number that is normally written on the spine of a book in our school library and children will know what level they usually read).

Accelerated Reader book quizzes
Children who have Accelerated Reader books and usually take quizzes at school can use this to continue taking quizzes at home. These will check their understanding of what they have read.  Teachers will be able to log in and see which quizzes they have taken. Children can take a quiz
on a book they have read from the MyOn library, a book that they have at home from the school library, or any other book that they have read at home (check whether there is a quiz by going to the AR bookfinder website).
Go to:
KID ZONE on this site
Accelerated Reader (choose Bramford or Somersham)
Log in and find the book you have read by entering the same details as you would at school.
